We Happy Few: Is It PS4 Pro Compatible?

Is We Happy Few PS4 Pro Compatible? Here’s What You Need to Know

Recommended Videos

We Happy Few‘s Wellington Wells is an eerie place, full of NPCs smiling maniacally, a vibrant color scheme on a muddy backdrop, and all manner of weird and wonderful items just commonplace in this alternative post-WWII Britain. If you’ve seen any gameplay of We Happy Few, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about, and if you have, you may be hoping that the game makes use of the PS4 Pro in order to get the best-looking experience through this creepy world.

Well, there’s some good news and some bad news on that front. While it has been confirmed that We Happy Few is PS4 Pro compatible, the extent to which it’ll make use of the hardware’s additional horsepower over the standard PS4 remains to be seen. It’s likely that we’ll see the same 4K resolution (albeit potentially upscaled) as we’re due to see on the Xbox One X according to Microsoft’s official enhancement list, but Sony’s page for We Happy Few makes no mention of specific PS4 Pro improvements.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the game has been confirmed to feature a 4K resolution and HDR support for the PS4 Pro, however, it should be noted that HDR support has not been noted as supported on the Xbox One X. Why we’d see the feature on one and not the other remains to be seen, but there seems to be some confusion regarding exactly what the PS4 Pro will offer in terms of an improved playing experience in We Happy Few.

We’ll be sure to update this post as soon as we can get some confirmation regarding exactly what PS4 Pro improvements have been made.
