Warzone: Can You Appear Offline? Answered

warzone, appear offline

Warzone is a squad focused game, just as pretty much any battle royale is. Therefore, you’re going to want to keep to the same set of maximum three friends so that you build a rapport. Having too many friends can be annoying (apparently), with people just joining you when they see you online in the hope that you’ll carry them to a win. If you want to avoid all those uninvited squad guests, here’s everything you need to know about whether you can appear offline in Warzone.

When you’re actively playing Warzone, you’ll appear on the game’s social tab, with other players being able to join your game when you’re in the pre-game lobby and there’s space for them.

Appearing offline would hide the fact that you’re playing from people, allowing you to infiltrate Verdansk without other people interrupting you.

Can You Appear Offline in Warzone?

Unfortunately, there is no way to appear offline in Warzone. No matter what, you’ll still be shown as playing when players look at their social tab in-game.

Even appearing offline on your system of choice won’t make a difference. Yes, it might make it less likely for people to look for you on the social tab in Warzone, but you’ll still appear as actively playing.

You cannot even lock a game so that no-one else joins. Thankfully though, if too many people join your lobby, you can still search for whatever battle royale mode you want to, kicking unwanted guests in the process.

Since the ability to appear offline is a feature that fans have been asking for for a while, hopefully it’ll be added to Warzone soon. If it comes as part of Season 5 in a couple of weeks, or anytime after, we’ll be sure to update you here.
