Spoiler Warning: This is the ending to Galeb Bazory’s questline in Vampire The Masquerade Swansong. If you haven’t gotten to the second confrontation with Stanford, come back later.

When you make it to the church in the final section of Bazory’s part of the game, a confrontation with Stanford will begin. To survive, you can only fail the confrontation twice out of six stages.

It requires a lot of skill checks to pass, and we recommend you have high Rhetoric, Intimidation, and Psychology going into it. psychology is the most important skill out of all of them, as a skill check option comes up for this one three times.

How to Shatter Stanford’s Will (Spoilers)

  1. Choose “This war will go on a long time, and they will lose.”

This requires a Persuasion skill check of 5 and increased focus. I lost this one, as Dominate also doesn’t work here.

  2. Choose “It doesn’t matter, it is personal.”

This is better than the intimidation option as it doesn’t cost any focus to use.

  3. Defend yourself.

This requires a Psychology of over 4 to pass.

  4. Choose “We’ve already reigned over the world.”

Another choice that costs no focus.

  5. Choose “Ignorant slaves have nothing to fear.”

Must have Psychology over 4 to pass.

  6. Choose “I am a predator! I hunt!”

This finishes the confrontation and kills Stanford.
