How to Repair Vehicles in Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

Valkyria Chronicles 4 brings back the classic strategy gameplay of the series, with a few additions and changes to boot. A brand new class known as Grenadier lets you pelt enemy soldiers and vehicles from a distance and over obstacles, while a “Last Stand” mechanic allows your units to sometimes stand back up after being downed by an enemy. Valkyria Chronicles 4 takes place during the same time period as the very first game, starring a young Federation commander named Claud Wallace and his elite Squad-E, as they spearhead a plan to take down the Empire known as Operation Northern Cross. While infantry make up the bulk of your forces, you’ll also have some powerful vehicles to command. Obviously, you’ll need to know how to repair those vehicles, to ensure they stay in the fight.

Your vehicles are all-important in Valkyria Chronicles 4, and you’ll especially be in a bind if the Hafen gets taken out. There are essentially two different ways to repair you vehicles, with the foremost being the Engineer class. You’ll want to make sure to have at least one Engineer deployed at all times. To repair a vehicle, select the Engineer and move them, then press square (X on Xbox) to switch over to the repair tool. Once you have it equipped, run up to the vehicle, press R1 to go into aim mode, aim at the vehicle and then press X to initiate the repair.

The other way you can repair a vehicle is with the Emergency Repairs order, which you should have learned around Chapter 7 or so. This order does cost two CP in order to use, so you’ll only want to do it sparingly. Still, if you’re in a pinch, it can give the Hafen the little boost you need.

That’s all you need to know about how to repair vehicles in Valkyria Chronicles 4. For even more tips, tricks, and guides on the game make sure to search Twinfinite or take a look at our wiki.
