How to Call Reinforcements in Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

When playing Valkyria Chronicles 4, you may sometimes find yourself struggling against the overwhelming odds of the opposing army. With the pressure on, you might like to fortify your own army to push back against the onslaught. Thankfully, bringing in reinforcements is a simple task that isn’t too costly, with only a couple of requirements you need to remember. Without further ado, here’s an explanation of how you can call reinforcements in Valkyria Chronicles 4.

During battle in Valkyria Chronicles 4, enter map mode and look for one of your allied bases. Select it with your cursor and you should see the option to call in a soldier to the field. As long as you have at least 1 Command Point (CP), you can summon one soldier. In fact, there is no real limit to how many reinforcements you can call in one turn. As long as you have enough CP, and have less than 10 allied soldiers on the battlefield at any given time, the order will go through.

Be aware that you must have an allied base to be able to call reinforcements in the first place. If you don’t have an allied base, consider capturing one of the enemy’s bases to turn it into your own. Taking over bases and then calling for backup can help fortify your lines to achieve victory.

Lastly, keep in mind that an order for reinforcements isn’t instantaneous in Valkyria Chronicles 4. The allies you’ve called for will only enter the battlefield on the next turn, meaning that your enemy will get to act once before they come in. With this in mind, be careful of where and how you call reinforcements. You don’t want your allies to join the fight only to find themselves surrounded like caged birds.
