The Epic Loot mod, courtesy of modder randyknapp, will add magical items with new powers that you can take advantage of. These can be found randomly as drops or even in chests.

Adding Tiered Loot Drops in Valheim

While the mod is still in early development, it is already quite impressive. The Epic Loot mod adds loots with four different tiers – magic, rare, epic, and legendary to Valheim.

Not only that, there are some effects that you might find interesting as well. Increased luck for better drop rates, waterproofing to keep you safe from the Wet status, allowing players to double jump, and more are constantly being added to the mod.

It will even work in multiplayer and dedicated servers. Both server and players just have to have the mod installed.

The process is simple as well:

  1. Download and extract the zip file
  2. Copy the contents of “files” to a new folder in your BepInEx/plugins/ folder called “EpicLoot”

For those looking for a head start, you can reward yourself with some magical items through console commands.

The Epic Loot mod also adds a new crafting station to Valheim. Here, you can enchant weapons you craft with runes that are harvested from killing bosses. An enchanting skill is also in the works, so keep your eyes out for that.
