If you’re one of the many people who plugged hundreds of hours into Theme Hospital, then there’s a good chance you’re either already playing Two Point Hospital, a spiritual successor of sorts to Theme Hospital, or you have plans to pick it up. Right now, if you’re one of those people, you’re only able to live out your faux-doctor dreams on a PC as there are no plans to bring the game anywhere else currently. As any PC veteran knows, PC is the perfect ecosystem for expanding the limits of games and that’s because of mods. Mods are the reason Skyrim players can bring Thomas the Tank Engine into Whiterun, or take away the greenish hue of Fallout 3. With any new release, the question at the forefront of PC players’ mind is, “can I use mods?” With that being said, is there mod support for Two Point Hospital? Here’s what you need to know.
As it stands right now, there is not a trace of mod support for the game. While some mods could be used to fix some problems players may encounter in the game, the real fun would be forcing doctors to performs hospital care on the likes of someone like Shrek (someone please make this happen if mod support comes). For now though, players are left to perform on the patients the developers want you to and curing the ailments they designed.
There is hope, though! In an interview with PC Gamer, Two Point, the studio behind Two Point Hospital, said the company does plan to implement mod support into the game in the coming weeks. More specifically, shortly after launch. When exactly is a question still unanswered, but considering the game just released, sometime in September seems likely.
