Tunic Scavenger Mask: How to Get Through Quarry Without Losing Health

If you’ve ventured into the quarry in the north of Tunic’s world, you’ve probably noticed that your health bar starts decreasing rapidly when you’re near any of the purple ‘cavities.’ This strange, toxic substance is everywhere, though, and rather than just damaging you, it actually reduces the size of your health bar itself, so even when you heal, you’ll still have significantly less health. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get the Scavenger Mask so you can get through the Quarry in Tunic.

Getting Through the Quarry with the Scavenger’s Mask

To get through the Quarry without losing health, you’ll first need to get the Scavenger’s Mask.

This is found within the Monastery, which is the large building near the pillars and the fox shrine surrounded by water.

Make your way through this location and avoid the purple cavities, as getting too close to these is what deals damage and reduces your max health over time.

There are enemies in here too, so your best bet is to just run and dodge roll your way past as many of them as possible until you reach the end of the room. Open the chest here and you’ll get one of the ‘equipment’ cards with a mask on it.

Equip this to your slot and your fox protagonist will now wear the mask, preventing them from taking damage from the purple cavities throughout the quarry in Tunic.

That’s everything you need to know about getting the Scavenger’s Mask in Tunic to help you get through the quarry. For more tips, tricks and guides on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite or see more of our coverage on the game below.
