How to Blast Away the Wall in Super Mario 64
So this star in Super Mario 64 is only tricky because it’s vague. Blast away what wall? There are lots of walls! Fortunately for you, once you know what you’re looking for it’s actually an extremely easy power star to get.
The wall you want to break is right near the entrance of the stage. Climb up the grey wall when you get to it and head into the watery area and go left once you’re in that puddle.
You’ll see a pink Bob-omb and a now active cannon besides it. Drop into the cannon and turn it to the right. You should see two walls with a string of coins spread between them. You want to aim for the top right corner of the wall further from you. Blast away that wall (remember aim for the corner), and you’ll reveal a star.
Now you just need to get up there. Just walk up and around the sleeping piranha plants across the collapsing block bridge and then nab that star! See? Easy!
That’s all you need to know for how to blast away the wall in Whomp’s Fortress in Super Mario 64 for 3D All Stars. If you’re all set, why don’t you pop on over to our fully-scored review and get a feel for what we thought of Nintendo’s efforts in this ambitious remaster/port project?
