Stranded Deep places players in the shoes of a plane crash victim that must survive stranded on a small island. Using only your wits and resources, you’ll craft, food, shelter, and a handful of other necessities. There are a lot of materials to collect before you can make anything, though, including clay. Here is everything you need to know about how to get clay in Stranded Deep.
Similar to most survival simulations, one of the first things you’ll want to do in Stranded Deep is to get your hands on any item that assists you in mining resources. In this case, a pickaxe is your weapon of choice.
How to Get Clay in Stranded Deep
When you’ve got a pickaxe handy, head toward the water. You have the best chance of finding clay here.
Clay nodes look similar to the minable rocks in the game but look more brown than grey. More often than not, it appears in shallow to medium water depth scattered throughout the island.
For some areas, you’ll also want to prepare breathers, anti-poison, and shark repellant. Having these all at the ready saves you a lot of time that can instead be devoted to finding more clay.
When you do find it, mine it with your pickaxe – as you would with any other rocks – and pick it up.
Time needed: 30 minutes
