Where to Get Coal in Stardew Valley
In Stardew Valley, coal is a vital resource. It’s useful for your furnaces which, without, you wouldn’t be able to smelt any ores into bars. All throughout Pelican Town, you’ll find a plethora of rocks. These can be picked with your pickaxe for stone, or if you’re lucky, some coal. That’s the easiest way to get it is to keep pickin’ rocks.
Of course, as you advance through the game, there are easier methods than the random drop variety. You can craft a Kiln once you know how to in order to turn 20 pieces of wood into one piece. But maybe you don’t want to waste all those logs, right? Maybe you’re saving up for some big building and need all that wood. That’s where the Blacksmith comes in. Head over to him and you’ll be able to buy coal at 150 coins a pop. Also available are an assortment of different ores, but we all know that coal is where it’s at.
