Stardew Valley: How to Get a Duck Feather

How to Get a Duck Feather in Stardew Valley

Recommended Videos

Stardew Valley will have you not only farming for crops, fishing the seas, and mining about; you’ll also get the chance to raise a variety of different livestock on your farm. From the second tier of livestock you can have come the ducks. They lay duck eggs so long as they’re kept fed and happy, but they also have a chance of dropping something very rare: a duck feather.

The duck feather is necessary for one of the Community Center bundles, and it’s not that easy to get a hold of. Sure, you might get lucky and buy one from the Travelling Cart, but your most surefire way to get a duck feather is from one of your ducks. This requires you to have them, first, of course. So head over to the Carpenter’s Shop and make sure your coop is upgraded to a Big Coop. This will unlock ducks.

The next steps require patience as you must raise the duckling and keep up your friendship with it until you maximize the hearts. Once you do, you’ll randomly get a duck feather as a sign of affection from this maxed out friendship. What a nice gift. Not only is it necessary for the Community Center bundle as previously mentioned, it also sells for 100 coins.
