Lightning in a Bottle in Spiritfarer is a crafting material that you’ll need more and more of as you progress through the game. If you’re struggling to figure out how to get Lightning in a Bottle in Spiritfarer, you’re in the right place, as we’ll run you through all you need to know.
Getting Lightning in a Bottle
The first time you’ll come across a storm, Atul the big toad/ frog will be there to talk you through it. He’ll tell you all you need to do is stand on top of sparks on the ground during a storm.
To find a storm, head to your map in the small cabin to the left-hand side of your ship. You’ll want to look for a black band with lightning strikes and other disturbances within it. Hover your cursor over it for long enough and a label will pop up identifying it as a Thunderstorm.
As long as you’ve got an Empty Bottle — this is important — you’ll eventually get Lightning in a Bottle from standing on the sparks during a storm. We’ve circled these in a red circle in the image below so you know what you’re looking out for.
Stand on these sparks and you’ll be struck by lightning but your Everlight will protect you. Do this with an empty bottle in your inventory and you’ll get Lightning in a Bottle in Spiritfarer. It’s as easy as that.
Even if you run out of empty bottles, it’s still worth running around your boat to stand on as many sparks as you can. That’s because each lightning strike will give you a small amount of Glims (the game’s currency), which you can then use to upgrade your ship, blueprint station, and more.
Empty bottles also aren’t that difficult to get. You’ll find them lying around all over the different lands and islands you can travel to, so just do your best to explore everywhere thoroughly and you’ll never be left wanting.
