Towards the very beginning of your time as Ferrymaster, Stella will be required to get her hands on Bright Jelly to build a Guest House on your ship. You’ll be told by Gwen that you can only obtain this from Jellyfish, and so you’ll not only need to find some now but every time you require Bright Jelly in the future. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to get jellyfish in Spiritfarer.
Where to Find Jellyfish in Spiritfarer
First things first, jellyfish can only be found in certain areas of the high seas. These are marked on your map with a black circle and a jellyfish icon in it, as shown in the screenshot below.
Set this as your destination by moving your cursor over it on your map and pressing A. Once you arrive, you’ll notice that your surroundings get a bit dark and stormy. Jellyfish will then start flying through the air from the right-hand side of the screen.
Getting Jellyfish
To actually get Bright Jelly from Jellyfish, you’ll simply need to jump into them as they’re flying towards you. Each one will reward you with a small amount of Glims.
It’s worth pointing out that only the jellyfish that glow green in their center will give you Bright Jelly. Spiritfarer makes it clear when these jellyfish are about to fly past with a small icon on the right-hand side of the screen marking their location so you can get in the right position to get it.
The others will only give you Glims, the currency in Spiritfarer you’ll use to buy ship upgrades and more. You can see one of the jellyfish that’ll give you Bright Jelly in Spiritfarer in the image below. Note its vibrant green color.
When you jump into or make contact with one of these green jellyfish, it’ll drop two green, star-shaped items. Move close to these and Stella will automatically pick them up. You’ll get two Bright Jelly for every green jellyfish you hit.
