Here’s what you need to know to learn skills and abilities in Spider-Man PS4.

While good ol’ Spidey is more than capable of using his fists to deal out some serious pain to the bad guys plaguing Manhattan in Spider-Man PS4, it’s always a good idea to learn skills and abilities to expand your options in combat. There are a plethora of different moves that players will have access to in Spider-Man PS4, once they’ve unlocked them of course.

As you complete the different missions and side activities in the world, you’ll notice that you’re constantly gaining XP. When your level progress bar fills up having earned enough XP, Spidey will earn a skill point.

This is what you’ll need to save up and spend if you want to learn new skills and abilities in the game.

Once you’ve gotten at least one, which you’ll probably get after completing the opening mission in the game, you’ll be brought to the Skills tab within the game menu.

This is what you’ll want to navigate to in future, too, which you can do by pressing the touchpad and then using R1 to navigate over from your map.

You should now see the three different skill trees available to you – Innovator, Defender, and Webslinger. Each of these trees, as you may have guessed from their names, have abilities which all focus on particular elements of the gameplay.

However, we advise looking through all of the different ones that you can get – even those that are unlocked to you – to work out which will best suit your playstyle, and focus on unlocking these.

Having decided on the ones that you want to unlock, use the left analog stick to select and highlight them, and then hold down X to unlock it. In order to actually use any new skills or abilities you learn in the game, you’ll need to check the description of the skill on the right side of the skills screen to get the button combination etc.

That’s all you need to know to learn new skills and abilities in Spider-Man PS4. For more tips, tricks, and guides, we’ve got an ever-growing Spider-Man guide wiki just for you, so go check it out!
