Here’s how to beat Kingpin in Spider-Man PS4.

Spider-Man PS4 essentially explores the ramifications of Spidey putting Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin) behind bars. The power vacuum leads to a number of villains attempting to take his place, and it’ll be down to you to stop that from happening.

Before all of this, however, the first thing you’ll do in Spider-Man PS4 is actually defeat Kingpin. This is not a difficult boss in the slightest, but if you’re still getting used to the controls, or just simply haven’t spotted the hints that the game provides you, we’ll talk you through what needs to be done.

Kingpin is essentially just like any other ‘heavy’ enemy in Spider-Man PS4. These are the big, brutish lookin’ guys that are stockier than the usual goons. Simply punching these guys normally won’t do anything, and the same is true of Kingpin. As such, you’ll need to immobilize him in some way, and it just so turns out your web slingers are the perfect tools for the job.

When you first meet Kingpin, he’ll block himself behind some glass and have two turrets start gunning you down. Use R1 to web up the guns, and then once one is completely immobilized, use L1 and R1 to fling it around and launch it at the glass protecting Kingpin. Do this on both turrets, and you’ll officially beat the Kingpin boss fight in Spider-Man PS4.

As we mentioned before, you’ll simply need to use R1 to web up Kingpin. Wait until he’s immobilized and trying to break free from your sticky shackles, and use Triangle to web sling towards him and start dealing out damage.

Once the webs have broken and disappeared, get plenty of space between you and Kingpin, as his punch attacks can keep you pinned to the ground when spammed and deal heavy damage.

Do the above a few times and eventually you’ll trigger a cutscene. Nothing really changes regarding what you need to do to beat Kingpin after this, you just have some minor goon enemies to take care of while you’re at it. We recommend clearing these minor enemies out first, as otherwise, you’ll struggle to deal out max damage to Kingpin once he is immobilized without being attacked from behind.

With a couple more attacks landed, Kingpin will go down, and you’ll have officially beaten your first boss in Spider-Man PS4.
