How to Get Skill Spheres and What They Do in Smash Bros Ultimate World of Light
As well as sporting the biggest roster the series had ever had, Super Smash Bros Ultimate is about more than fighting against your friends as you’re probably used to. The new game boasts a whole host of single-player content too. In that content, you’ll come across Skill Spheres. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Skill Spheres in Smash Bros Ultimate World of Light and what they do.
What Skill Spheres Do
In Smash Bros Ultimate’s World of Light mode, Skill Spheres are in-game items (a currency of sorts) that are needed for unlocking skills on the skill board, which can grant a variety of bonus effects, such as increasing your aerial damage or increasing the window you have for a perfect shield. Everything you unlock with them is beneficial, so you’ll want to rack up as many as possible.
How to Get Skill Spheres
Thankfully, there are a few different ways you can get them. After every spirit battle in World of Light, you’ll be rewarded with a different amount of Skill Spheres.
Easy Spirit Battles will only grant you with one or two, but tougher ones provide more. For example, battling Awakening Fighters grants around 12-13 for each one, while winning boss battles rewards you with about 20.
Skill Spheres can also be found in some chests around the Smash Bros Ultimate world, or they can be purchased from the shops in Adventure Mode using Spirit Points. Before heading out to purchase them, you’ll have to find the shops on the world map, however.
Shops are fairly straightforward to find, and you’ll almost happen upon them as you play through World of Light. You’re looking for roofed buildings that pop up off the map. They’re 3D buildings on the otherwise 2D map, and can either be shops, dojos, or exploration buildings. If you come across a shop, you know what to do.
