How to Excavate & Authenticate in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure

Recommended Videos

The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure is every archaeology sim’s dream. Sure, it’s also good for culture enthusiasts, but the biggest thing you’ll come across while exploring the jungles of Selvadorada are artifacts that you can excavate and then authenticate to either earn some big simoleons or just decorate your house.

In order to excavate in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure, you’ll need to look for mounds of dirt that you’ll encounter out in the jungle or temples of Selvadorada. You simply click on them and choose to excavate. Once you upgrade your sim’s archaeology skill enough, you’ll actually be able to “survey” for excavation sites. When you excavate something that is unrecognizable, you need to first use the Archaeology table to brush off all the dirt and uncover it.

To authenticate any unauthenticated things you unearth and uncover, you can place them in the world and then click on them to “send them off for authentication.” This will cost 25 simoleons and will take you a day to come back in the mail. When your sim checks their mail the next day, they’ll have something worth a whole lot more than it costed before. If your archaeology skill is high enough, you’ll be able to authenticate these yourself right on the archaeology table.
