Recycling furniture all involves Fabrication, which is a new skill that’s been introduced by Eco Lifestyle. By interacting with the Fabricator, your sims can make new things, including furniture and candles.

Your sims are happier when they use the Fabricator on a regular basis and creating more items unlocks more recipes and pieces of furniture that you can add to your houses.

Instead of selling old furniture, you can take them to the fabricator and turn them in there. In return, you get a currency called Bits and Pieces, which can then be spent on the new items that the Fabricator and candle making station offer.

For example, a Dipped Candle requires four Bits and six Pieces at the candle table and a Table Light needs you to spend 35 Bits and 15 Pieces. You can also get eco-upgrade parts at the Fabrictor, using the Bits and Pieces you’ve collected, which helps you improve things you already own.

It would be good to keep completing the process and recycle furniture as much as you realistically can so that you unlock access to better furniture and options at the candle table.
