Sims 4 Cottage Living Cheats: How to Spawn Animals. Change Animal Relationships & More

The Sims 4 Cottage Living is out and fans are enjoying the new farming-oriented pack. While many Simmers are taking it slow and finding relaxation in figuring out the ins and outs of Cottage Living alone, some others are wondering how they can incorporate the good ol’ cheat bar. Can you use cheats to create animals, discover gift preferences, or kill wild foxes? You can do all that and more! We’ve compiled some Cottage Living cheats from The Sims 4 for you here.

The Sims 4 Cottage Living Cheats

Before you start using any of our cheats below, make sure to hit CTRL + Shift + C on your Windows keyboard, Command+Shift+C on your Mac keyboard, or L1+R1+L2+R2 on your controller to pull up the cheat box. Then, simply type in the cheat testingcheats true and hit enter.

How To Spawn Animals

If you’re looking to spawn in chickens or rabbits, this cheat will do just that for you. Hold Shift + Click anywhere on the open ground and click on “Create Animal” to spawn in a chicken or a rabbit! If you have a coop or home with space for the rabbits, the animals will immediately run over to their respective area on your lot.

How To Unlock All Animal Clothing

Want to unlock all the animal clothes available for your furry friends? Simply Shift + Click on any of your farm animals and select “Get all Animal Clothes” to add all the clothing for every type of animal to your Sim’s inventory.

How To Change Animal Relationships Or Outcomes – Sims 4 Cottage Living Cheats

If you want to cheat and change the status of your relationship with an animal, you can simply Shift + Click on the animal of your choice and select “Cheat Relationship” to set the level you want.

If you want to cheat and change the way animals react to your interactions with them, you can Shift + Click on the animal of your choice just as before but this time select “Cheat Outcomes” to ensure future failures or successes.

How To Unlock All Animal Homes

If you don’t really feel like going through befriending rabbits or birds, you can unlock their homes for Build/Buy mode so that you may place them on your lot by using Shift + Click on any animal and selecting the “Unlock All Animal Homes” option.

How To Cheat With Animal Treats – Sims 4 Cottage Living Cheats

You can use Shift + Click on your Sim’s refrigerator to use the following animal treat cheats:

  • Unlock All Animal Treat Recipes
  • Create All Feed Recipe Ingredients In Inventory
  • Create All Feed Recipes In Inventory

How To Cheat With Chickens, Cows, Or Llamas

To do any of the chicken-related cheats, you need to Shift + Click on your coop. You can choose from the cheats listed below:

  • Create Egg
  • Create Hatchable Eggs
  • Create Hen in Coop
  • Get Special Upgrade Part
  • Make Dirty (or Clean)

If you create hatchable Golden or Obsidian Eggs, you can get special Golden and Evil Chickens.

To do any of the cow or llama-related cheats, you need to Shift + Click on your shed. You can choose from the cheats listed below:

  • Create Cow
  • Create Llama
  • Get Special Upgrade Part
  • Make Dirty (or Clean)

You can also Shift + Click on any animal to receive a llama’s wool product in your Sim’s inventory immediately (e.g. “Create Wool in Inventory” on a llama to get wool in your Sim’s inventory).

How To Cheat With Wild Animals – Sims 4 Cottage Living Cheats

To do any of the bird-related cheats, Shift + Click on one of their homes and choose from the cheats listed below:

  • Discover All Gift Preferences
  • Enable “Take Gift” Cooldown
  • Reset “Take Gift” Cooldown
  • Reset “Discover Gift Preferences” Cooldown
  • Gardening Help Enabled / Not Helping with Gardening

There isalso a cheat that reads “Controller State” which allows you to control your flock of Wild Birds and whatever they do.

To do any of the fox-related cheats, Shift + Click on one of them and choose a select few cheats (namely you can discover which gifts they prefer and build relationship with them that way). You can also select “Old Age” so that the fox dies more quickly.

To do any of the rabbit-related cheats, Shift + Click on one of them and choose from most of the same cheats that you can use on the birds. You can also Shift + Click on a rabbit’s home and spawn a rabbit inside of it by selecting “Create Rabbit in Home” or if you have multiple rabbits in a home on your lot you can select “Call Out Particular Rabbit” to have one come out.

How To Cheat Cross-Stitch Skill

Cottage Living cheats are all over the place. From animals, to cross-stitching, there’s probably one you want to use. If you want to max out the new cross-stitching skill then pull your cheat box back up (CTRL + Shift + C on your Windows keyboard, Command+Shift+C on your Mac keyboard, or L1+R1+L2+R2 on your controller) and enter in the cheat below.

  • stats.set_skill_level Skill_CrossStitch (INSERT NUMBER FROM 1-5 HERE)

How To Cheat New Deaths – Sims 4 Cottage Living Cheats

If you want your Sim to be a ghost, but not just any ghost, here are a couple good cheats for you. If you enter one of the cheats below, your Sim will be a ghost that died via a chicken or rabbit. To have your Sim become one such ghost, simply pull your cheat box back up (CTRL + Shift + C on your Windows keyboard, Command+Shift+C on your Mac keyboard, or L1+R1+L2+R2 on your controller) and enter in one of the cheats below.

  • traits.equip_trait trait_Ghost_AnimalObjects_KillerChicken
  • traits.equip_trait trait_Ghost_AnimalObjects_KillerRabbit

Just for fun, you can also Shift + Click on your Sim and select “Kill” then “Be Slain by a Vicious Killer Rabbit” to bring one of the new deaths onto your poor, unsuspecting Sim.
