How to Save in Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The worlds in the Tomb Raider reboot series are getting larger and more dangerous with each entry. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the new game, is even more expansive than Rise that came before it. As you explore the caves and open wilderness, you’ll come across all manner of threats, in the shape of humans and animals, so you’ll want to ensure that you do not lose any progress or the items and upgrades that you have missed along the way. To do so, you’ll want to know that the game is saving in one way or another. So that you know what to look for, here is everything you need to know about how to save in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Thankfully, the save system in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is pretty great. It saves automatically pretty regularly, so you should never have to worry about losing much progress if you quit out of the game before you save or check that it has saved.
The game saves whenever you see a little Shadow of the Tomb Raider ‘TR’ logo appear in the corner of the screen. It’ll appear pretty frequently, but if you’re worried that the game hasn’t saved and you’re going to lose some progress, simply keep playing until you see the logo appear. Like in other games, the auto save feature will often be prompted into action whenever you interact with something or go in and out of a menu. As far as we can tell, there is no way to manually save through any of the game’s menus.
