Is Shadow of the Tomb Raider PS4 Pro Compatible? What You Need to Know
Shadow of the Tomb Raider has finally arrived, acting as the final chapter of this Tomb Raider reboot series that kicked off back in 2013. As Lara takes her final steps from being a nervous archaeologist, to a hardened, bad-ass explorer and adventurer that we know her to be, she’ll also need to save the world from a Mayan apocalypse. Because how else do you make the transition from archaeologist to adventurer? On her adventure, Lara will explore dense, lush forests, and creepy, decaying tombs. Shadow of the Tomb Raider has plenty of moments that are visually stunning, and so some players may be wondering if the game is PS4 Pro compatible.
Well, we have good news, as Crystal Dynamics has put the extra power of the PS4 Pro to good use in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Just as was the case with Rise of the Tomb Raider when it eventually released on the PS4 and PS4 Pro, Shadow of the Tomb Raider actually comes with different visual settings for players to choose from.
Upon starting up Shadow of the Tomb Raider on a PS4 Pro, you’ll have to choose between prioritizing resolution, or prioritizing framerate. The former option will display the game in a 4K resolution, but at 30FPS. However, if you opt to prioritize the framerate, Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be displayed in a 1080p resolution, but at a buttery-smooth 60FPS.
If you’re looking for the most visually striking experience when playing the game, you’ll want to choose the resolution option. As long as you have a display capable of displaying a 4K resolution, that is. Otherwise, you may be better off going for the framerate option.
That’s all you need to know regarding the extent of Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s PS4 Pro compatibility. Looking for more tips, guides, and information on the game? Be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
