Moving away from the linear history of Lara Croft’s Tomb Raider series, each entry in the recent reboot series is adding more and more elements of open world games. Lara Croft is also an iconic character with an iconic look, with certain outfits being synonymous with her. However, when you jump into Shadow of the Tomb Raider, you may start to wonder if you can change clothes and outfits in the game, to make Lara look different to how you’d expect. Well, here’s everything you need to know about how to change clothes and outfits in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

You’ll be happy to know that, yes, you can change clothes and outfits in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. However, it is not possible from right at the start of the game. The ability to do so is unlocked after about two hours or so of the game, provided you’re working through the story. Once you have unlocked new clothes and outfits, you can change them from the base camp in the game. This is the only place you can change clothes and outfits, so be sure to head there when you want to do so.

Once you’re there, access Lara’s inventory and press R1/RB to scroll over to the outfits section of the menu. From there, to change clothes and outfits, you can change Lara’s entire appearance or individual items of clothing. There are full outfits, based on old versions of Lara, from games previous to Shadow of the Tomb Raider, that you can change into.
