The Nintendo Direct had plenty of big games to show off, along with some surprise announcements. It’s been almost a year since RPG Time: The Legend of Wright was last shown off, and news of the game has been largely silent until this release date reveal. When RPG Time: The Legend of Wright Will Come Out
RPG Time: The Legend of Wright will be headed to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Aug. 18.
It’s impressive when you look at the very stylized papercraft visuals and remember that the developer, DESK WORKS, is only a two-person studio.
The game has been through a couple delays to get to this point. The release date has been pushed back every time the game has been brought to shows like E3 or Tokyo Game Show in the past. When RPG Time: The Legend of Wright was first announced at E3 2019, it was said to be getting a 2020 release date. It obviously missed that and was later shown off at Tokyo Game Show 2021 with improved visuals. At that time, it was given a release date of winter 2021.
Seeing as this is the first time we’ve gotten an actual date for RPG Time: The Legend of Wright, this might mean it will stick the landing.
