How to Change Riders Republic Landing Modes

If you’re already up to speed with the differences between the modes and simply want to know how to change them, all you need to do is press the options button, go to Settings, and change the ‘Landing Mode’ setting at the top of the Gameplay tab.

Riders Republic Auto & Manual Landing Assist Differences

As for the specifics on the differences between the two modes. Auto doesn’t give you a landing points bonus, but it does make it very difficult to fail a landing or crash. It doesn’t guarantee you won’t crash, but as long as you have enough air you can more or less be sure of a steady landing.

Manual, on the other hand, allows you to control your rotations with the analog stick. A bonus score is awarded for the quality of the landing, and you can chain perfect landings for bonus points.

There is also a ‘Steep’ setting that sets the landing mode to manual as standard but will activate auto assist if you input the correct sequence of buttons.

Which Riders Republic Landing Mode Should You Choose?

Ultimately, there’s no best landing mode. The one you will prefer comes down to how difficult you want to make the gameplay experience, and how fussed you are about earning bonus points for increasing the challenge.

Those who find the mechanics of controlling the bike tricky will obviously prefer auto assist, while those who welcome the challenge of having to manually land can reap the rewards of the extra bonus points.

Steep mode is a happy medium between the two, offering you the option to auto-land but only if you are quick enough to input the correct sequence of buttons. This means there’s still an element of skill involved in landing without the sometimes finicky nature of manual landings.

That should be everything you need to know about Riders Republic landing auto assist and manual modes, which you should use, and how to change it.
