Heal Your Health in Resident Evil Village

Enemies pack a punch in Resident Evil Village, especially if you’re playing the game on higher difficulties. Because of this, you always need to be prepared with a healing item or two in your inventory.

Just like in previous Resident Evil games in the series, herbs will heal you up a little, but you should definitely make use of the crafting system to craft stronger healing items that will keep you alive. To use a healing item, simply tap the R1 or RB button to have Ethan recover.

The healing animation does take a few seconds, but just like in RE7, you can tap the L1 or LB button to guard and perform a guard cancel to skip the animation.

As previously mentioned, while you can use herbs to restore health, you should consider crafting first aid meds instead. This can be done by mixing an herb and chem fluid together in your menu. Bring up the menu with the Y or Triangle button, press R1 or RB to go to the crafting tab, then select the first aid med and craft it.
