Resident Evil 7: How to Get All Trophies / Achievements

Trophies and Achievements – Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Recommended Videos

Resident Evil 7 is out and it has a host of trophies and achievements for those brave enough to delve into the Baker residence to face the nightmares that lie within. You can check out the full list of trophies and achievements below.

Biosplattered (Platinum) – Unlock all Trophies.

Playing it Safe (Bronze) – Complete the game on Easy. Beating the game on a higher difficulty will also unlock this trophy/achievement.

The Nightmare’s Finally Over (Bronze) – Complete the game on Normal. Doing so on Madhouse will unlock this trophy/achievement as well.

Who’s Your Daddy Now? (Silver) – Complete the game on Madhouse. This is one serious challenge that offers up a more classic RE experience. You can check out all the changes to the mode here.

Behind Closed Doors (Bronze) – Close an open door. This is very easy to get, simply walk up to an open door and press X/A to close it.

Arms in the Air (Bronze) – Block an enemy attack by guarding. Simply hold L1/LB as an enemy attacks. Will pop after the first hit.

A-ha! (Bronze) – Obtain something by closely examining an item. The easiest place to get this trophy is right at the beginning of the game. Before you even enter the house, you’ll see Mia’s red purse laying on the ground. Pick it up and rotate it to find her ID.

Master of Unlocking (Bronze) – Use a lock pick to open something.

Nice Try (Bronze) – Put an unrelated object on a shadow plinth. There are three shadow puzzles in RE7. Once you come across the first shadow door in the main hall of the Baker house, use a random item on it (I personally used my gun).

Open Your Eyes (Bronze) – Use psychostimulants. These are the pills that let you see nearby item locations. You’ll find several as you play. You can als0 craft some by combining Supplements and Chem Fluid.

In the Bag (Bronze) – Increase your Item Slots. There are a few inventory upgrades scattered around Resident Evil 7, you only need one to get this trophy/achievement. Here’s where you can find some.

Things Got Personal (Bronze) – Finish off an enemy with the knife. Simply kill an enemy with a knife. This is easiest against the large flies in the old house since they die in one hit.

Slash Slash, Slashity Slash! (Bronze) – Clear insects off a door using a knife. You’ll sometimes come across doors covered in spiders. Simply stand back and swing your knife at the door until all the spiders are gone.

Less is More (Silver) – Take down two or more enemies with one shot. This is easy to do in the old house. Simply wait for more than one insect to attack you (which happens in the very first room) and use your shotgun to take them both out.

That’s a Spicy  Meat-a-ball (Bronze) – Kill an enemy by attaching a Remote Bomb to them and detonating it. The first place you can do this is on the boat as Mia. Once you get a Remote Bomb, let a regular Molded tackle you while you have the bomb equipped, this will allow you to stick the bomb onto its face and kick it off. Now press Square/X to detonate it and watch them die.

1st Place at the Science Fair (Bronze) – Create all items that contain Chem Fluid and Strong Chem Fluid. Just make one of each recipe. Here’s a full list.

Can’t Catch Me (Bronze) – Complete the “Mia” videotape without being spotted by Marguerite. Here’s a handy guide to get you through the tape.

Out Before Dessert (Silver) – Complete the “Happy Birthday” videotape within 5 minutes. This is the video with the most steps so it can seem daunting, but we’ve listed the order you should use to solve this one quickly.

Be Kind, Please Rewind (Bronze) – Watch all the videotapes in a single playthrough. There are four tapes in total:

  • Derelict House Footage (same video from demo, used to open the secret passage in prologue).
  • Mia
  • Happy Birthday
  • Old Videotape

Pelicans in Your Pocket (Silver) – Obtain all of the Antique Coins in Easy or Normal difficulty. There are 18 in total hidden around.

Mad Pelicans (Silver) – Obtain all of the Antique Coins in Madhouse difficulty. There are 15 extra coins on the hardest difficulty, bringing the total up to 33. Make sure to get them all on your first Madhouse run so you don’t have to live that nightmare again.

The Devil is in the Details (Silver) – Read all the files in a single playthrough.

He’s Here, There, Everywhere! (Bronze) – Destroy a Mr. Everywhere statuette. These are those football bobbleheads you see around the world.

Mr. Nowhere (Silver) – Destroy all 20 Mr. Everywhere statuettes.

Just Get Me Outta Here (Gold) – Complete the game within 4 hours. YouTuber PowerPyx has a simple speedrun that runs in just 2 1/2 hours. You can see he plays on easy and runs past most enemies and wastes no time with looting everything.

Resource Manager (Gold) – Complete the game without opening the Item Box more than 3 times. This means you can’t open the item box outside of when the story forces you to (which happens to be 3 times) making it pretty tough. We suggest doing this on easy. The three times you have to use the box are:

  • Before the Happy Birthday room as Ethan.
  • Then, after the room (to get all your stuff back).
  • After escaping the ship so you can grab weapons and resources that you lost after getting trapped by Eveline.

Walk it Off (Gold) – Complete the game using only 3 First Aid Meds or Less. Another trophy/achievement that is best done on easy. Enemies do less damage, and you actually regenerate a bit of your health while playing. So play safely, or kill everything since there’s plenty of ammo to find in the game. Use manual saves before bosses just in case you find that you took more hits than you intended. This one is much easier than it sounds, though.

Spoiler Warning: The trophies on the following page are story-related, hidden trophies which reveal elements of the story. If you want to play through without any spoilers at all, we suggest turning back now.

She’s Alive (Bronze) – Travel to Louisiana. This pops almost immediately after starting and reaching the Baker farm.

Welcome to the Family, Son (Bronze) – Escape from the guest house. This is unlocked once you complete the prologue. You don’t actually escape, but rather get kidnapped by Jack Baker.

You Ain’t Gettin’ Away (Bronze) – Escape to the yard. This pops after you finally flee the main house and are able to walk outside. It’s impossible to miss.

The Grave Will Out the Truth (Bronze) – Uncover the secret in the old house. Don’t worry, you don’t have to search high and low for some secret, since this is story related and can’t be missed at all.

You Better Start Running (Bronze) – Escape from the Baker family home. This will unlock automatically once you finish the boathouse section of Resident Evil 7.

Into the Depths (Bronze) – Escape from the Ship. Will pop after Ethan is saved by Mia and you make your way towards the final encounter. Cannot be missed.

End of the Night (Silver) – Get ending 1. This is the “good” ending in the game and requires you to save Mia after the boathouse segment. Here’s a spoiler of that here.

Just a Memory Now (Silver) – Get ending 2. This is the “bad” ending that you get from saving Zoe instead of Mia. If you want to read about this, click here.

Back Off, Mrs. B! (Silver) – Fight off Marguerite while she wanders the old house to make her run away. We suggest doing this on Easy mode, as it will take a lot of damage to actually make her run. Your mandatory encounters with her do not count for this trophy/achievement. You must do this while she’s just randomly walking around.

Duck If You Love Life (Silver) – Avoid Jack’s scissor attack by crouching. When you fight Jack in the morgue area of the house he’ll pull out these large scissors. Crouch when he does his high attack.

Fly Swatter (Silver) – Shoot and knock back Marguerite while she’s leaping at you. Marguerite has a jump attack that she does in her spider form during the greenhouse encounter. Hit her with your shotgun when she leaps.
