Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 3 is finally here, just a year after the excellent Resident Evil 2. This time, a multiplayer mode has been included, giving players an option that’s different from the linear story mode. So that you can take advantage of the mastermind’s abilities, here’s everything you need to know about how to use skill cards in Resident Evil 3 Resistance.
Somewhat replacing the ability to play the story as different characters, each with different perspectives, Resistance is Resident Evil 3 Remake’s 4v1 multiplayer mode, with one person playing as the mastermind, who’s set traps to stop survivors escaping.
If the survivors escape, they win, and if they don’t, the mastermind does. As the lone player, you want to do everything you can to take out those trying to get away, which is where Skill Cards come in.
How to Use Skill Cards in Resident Evil 3 Resistance
When you’re playing as the mastermind, you are able to use Skill Cards that send zombies and dogs out into the world of Resistance to try and stop the survivors.
Each character starts with four basic cards and you can upgrade them by leveling up. Below you can see the kind of challenges you’d need to complete to earn XP.
Then, as the Skill Cards upgrade, you’ll be able to switch the cards in and out, using the upgrades as you get them. As you can see from the screenshot below, which we’re using as an example, Becca has two active abilities and two passive ones.
To use them, you need to use the d-pad to switch between them, and then press A to activate them. For some, you will need to place them in the world and have to use the right stick to aim for the right positioning. Then, press A again to place them.
That’s everything you need to know about how to use skill cards in Resident Evil 3 Resistance. For more tips and tricks on the multiplayer and single-player, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite.
