Right from the off, Jill Valentine is thrown into the thick of the action in Resident Evil 3 Remake. As the T-Virus pandemic sweeps the city, things are really going to crap; the city streets are a total mess, even on fire in the case of one particular alley-way that Jill needs to access in the opening hour of the game. Here’s how to put the fire out using the fire hose in Resident Evil 3 Remake.
Putting out the fire is one of the early puzzles you’ll need to solve in the Downtown area of the game. Passing through the alleyway will give you access to the Subway Power Generator, which is one part of restoring power to the subway system and getting the hell out of Raccoon City.
How to Put the Fire Out Using the Fire Hose in Resident Evil 3 Remake
As you’ll have probably noticed when looking at the area, there’s a fire hydrant handily positioned right beside the fire. Your task is to find the fire hose and connect it to the hydrant.
The fire hose is located in the Subway Office, which itself is in the Subway Control Room. The area you’re looking for is in the northwest corner of the Downtown map. The hose is laying on the floor just to the right of the control room before you enter the save room area. You can see its location below:
The fire hose only takes a single space in your inventory, but still, as always in Resident Evil games, you’ll need to think about what you want to take and leave behind. Thankfully, there’s an item box very close by.
Once you have the fire hose, return to the hydrant and put out the fire. You can now press on with your mission to restore power.
