Following the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake last year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Capcom has opted to release a Resident Evil 3 Remake, too. This time, players will be out exploring Raccoon City while they’re hunted down by the daunting Nemesis. If you’re aiming to get the Platinum trophy or full 1000 Gamerscore on offer, you might be wondering if Resident Evil 3 has a difficulty trophy or achievement.
Is There a Difficulty Trophy/ Achievement in Resident Evil 3 Remake?
Cutting right to the chase, yes, Resident Evil 3’s Remake does have a difficulty trophy and achievement. In fact, there are two achievements/ trophies tied directly to the difficulty level.
The first of these is called ‘G.I. Jill’ and is a Silver trophy that requires players to ‘Complete the game in “Hardcore” mode or higher. There is also ‘Tonic Gill’ which requires players to ‘Complete the Game in “Normal” mode or higher.
On top of that, if you’re looking to get all of the trophies on offer, you’ll also need to complete the game while meeting a number of prerequisites.
The first is the ‘Sensational’ Gold trophy, that requires players to complete the game with an S-Rank. You can check out our guide on how to get an S-Rank here.
Another trophy/ achievement, Pandora’s Box, tasks players with completing the game without opening the item chest. This means you’ll have to really focus on inventory management and rotating items as and when you need them.
Finally, there’s the ‘Parked in Double File’ achievement and trophy that requires players to ‘Complete the Game in Less Than 2 Hours.’ Once again, this is an incredibly tricky trophy and achievement that you’ll definitely want to try and complete on an easier difficulty once you’ve played through the game a couple times.
