There are many easter eggs to track down in Red Dead Redemption 2, but one that is a must-find for anyone who enjoys funny or immersion breaking aesthetics is the Viking Helmet and Hatchet. To find the Viking Helmet and Hatchet, you will have to make your way up to the top right corner of the map. Once there, you”ll want to head toward a bend in the river that cuts through Roanoke Valley.

Here, you’ll find a road that leads toward the river’s bend and splits before reaching it. Follow this road to the halfway point, and then head north toward the Roanoke Valley map label.

Due south of the Roanoke Valley map label and just north of the road, you will find a series of stone trenches and tunnels in the forest. Head down into the trenches and you’ll discover a skeleton on a slab surrounded by skulls and other bones.

One will have the Viking Hatchet embedded in it, which you can loot and take for yourself.

Nearby, you’ll find the entrance to the tunnels. They appear to only lead in one direction, but halfway towards the other end of one, there is a darkened corridor that leads to further underground tunnels on the side.

Turn down this path, and then there should be a collection of skulls on two shelves of rock. The Viking Helmet will be on the second shelf.

Hopefully this made it a little easier to track down the Viking Helmet and Hatchet. Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more on the game, check out our comprehensive wiki for everything you need to know about the game.
