Red Dead Redemption 2 Homestead Stash Locations: How to Get ‘Breaking and Entering’ Trophy & Achievement

Where to Find All Homestead Stash Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2 for the ‘Breaking and Entering’ Trophy & Achievement

Recommended Videos

If you’re looking to get the ‘Breaking and Entering’ trophy and achievement in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll have to recover the stash from four homesteads. This may sound easy in and of itself, but these are tucked away in hard-to-find places that can leave you searching for hours. Here’s where to find all homestead stash locations in Red Dead Redemption 2 so you can get one step closer to that platinum trophy or 1000 Gamerscore.

For the trophy and achievement, you’ll only need to find four homestead stashes. Fortunately, if you’re aware of one of their locations before completing the ‘Spines of America’ mission in Chapter 2, you can easily get one during a main mission. We’ve listed this one below first, as it’s most likely the first you’ll come across.

Carmody Dell

You’ll actually head to Carmody Dell as part of the ‘Spines of America’ mission that we mentioned above in Chapter 2. It’s the one that requires you to go steal a wagon for your new friend Seamus, who becomes the first Fence you have access to in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Carmory Dell Homestead Stash

When you’re first sent into the house, make your way into the front section. Literally walk over to the chimney, and press X on Xbox One or Square on PS4 to search it. You’ll find a smooth $150 tucked away inside.

Aberdeen Pig Farm

This next one can be found southeast of Emerald Ranch, as we’ve indicated on the map below. By visiting this place, the two inhabitants will be quite hospitable towards you, so it’s a shame you’re going to rob their homestead stash.

Whether you want to go the violent route, or just sneak in and pinch the cash is up to you. Either way, you’re going to want to search behind the portrait opposite the front door as soon as you walk in. You’re free to search and steal from elsewhere around the house, but that’s where the main source of money is to be found.

Lonnie’s Shack

Head south of Emerald Station to find Lonnie’s shack, a secluded little cabin in the middle of nowhere. Sean may take you there as a companion quest in Chapter 3, but again you can go hear alone if you wish.

The location of the stash this time around has to be uncovered by keeping just one of the four guys in there alive. Instead, keep one alive and threaten him. He’ll tell you where to find the stash.

Catfish Jacksons

Catfish Jacksons is found in the south section of the map, in that stretch of land to the east of Flat Iron lake and west of Saint Denis. When you get there, you’ll want to try just searching around the outside of the house, first. With a bit of luck, you’ll be able to find the homestead stash location by heading down the right side of the house as you’re looking at the front door. Look for a little hole in the house with a crate inside.

Failing that, the homestead stash may once again be inside the chimney that you’ll have to head inside the house to gain access to. There are a bunch more valuables well worth seeking out within the house, including premium cigarette packs which can net you those collectible cards, should you be trying to track those down.

Chez Porter

Chez Porter can be found north of Valentine, just across Dakota River. Javier may take you out to go and rob here during chapter 2 or chapter 3, but you can always go there on your own if you wish. The people here will shoot you as soon as they see you, so you’re best taking a more stealthy approach.

Your target here is that old-looking barn right at the back of the property. Head inside and use the ladder to climb up. You should be able to find a little stash box next to the haystacks here. Open it up to grab $100 and some jewellery. There are a ton more valuables that can be located around this location, including a double-action revolver hidden under one of the bunk beds.

Van Horn Mansion

The Van Horn mansion can be found literally just a little south of Van Horn itself. Head inside at night and you’ll find the two inhabitants sleeping on the floor downstairs. Crouch and sneak around, taking all that you can.

Pay particular attention to the cash on the wooden table. There are other collectibles dotted around here, too.

Watson’s Cabin

For this one, you’re going to head northwest of Wallace Station. There’s a friendly old lady in here who, luckily for you, mistakes you as someone else. You can head downstairs, steal the nice semi-auto shotgun and return at a later date. Either naturally go about doing things to fill your time for an in-game day, or use your camp to sleep and skip forward.

The next day, you’ll find the old lady’s sons inside. You’ll need to kill them all and then swipe the lockbox from the kitchen table. Nothing like some old lady murder to make your homestead stash robbery that tiny bit more morally messed up.

Willard’s Rest (Only Accessible From Chapter 6 Onwards)

The final of the homestead stash locations in Red Dead Redemption 2 can only be accessed once you’ve finished “A Fork in the Road” during chapter 6. We’ve kept things kind of vague and brief here, in an effort to minimize potential spoilers for all you cowboys and cowgirls! You’ll teach the person inside this lodge how to hunt.

After a few days have passed in Red Dead Redemption 2, you can return again and they’ll invite you to help yourself to many of the good’s inside the house, including the all-important lockbox.

That’s all homestead stash locations in Red Dead Redemption 2 to get the ‘Breaking and Entering’ trophy and achievement.
