Rage 2‘s open world is vast and you’ll often rely on vehicles to get you places. Your default vehicle is a great choice, but you might want to use a different car. So, to do that here’s everything you need to know about how to store vehicles in Rage 2.
How to Store Vehicles in Rage 2
The first thing you need to do before you can store vehicles is to purchase the Vehicles Extension upgrade in the Projects menu.
Simply press the touch pad if you’re on PS4 or the View button if you’re on Xbox One, and head to the Basic Projects, where you’ll see the Vehicles Extension upgrade at the bottom right of the tree.
While it costs one Project Point on its own, you do need to unlock the two before it in the upgrade tree (Overdrive Multiplier and Vehicles), so you need three points altogether.
It won’t take long to get that many though, so don’t worry. Just a couple of missions should be enough.
What the Vehicles Extension upgrade does in Rage 2 is allow you to store more than just the Phoenix. To store them, find a vehicle out in the world; they’ll often be around enemy bases or towns.
Then, drive them back to a major town, where you’ll find the Phoenix. By driving up next to the Phoenix and waiting for the Store prompt to appear, you should be able to call the vehicle in anywhere in the world when you next want it.
Calling In Vehicles
To call a vehicle in, press the touchpad or view button once again, and scroll over to the Vehicles tab. Find the one you want and hold square if you’re on PlayStation 4 (X on Xbox One) and you’ll be able to spawn it next to you, usually for the price of $10.
You’ll then be able to get in and drive to wherever you want, and the vehicle will remain stored in your inventory should you lose it again.
