Rage 2‘s open world is full of side missions to complete, dangerous bandit camps to infiltrate, and secrets to find. Since you’ll be driving long distances and fighting tough groups of bad guys, you’re going to want to keep all the progress you make so that you’re not repeating things each and every time you play the game. To help you make the most of your time with the game, here’s everything you need to know about how to save in Rage 2.
How to Save in Rage 2
Thankfully, the saving in Rage 2 works pretty well, so you’re not going to lose much progress if you stop at any point, whether you’re traveling or fighting at the time.
Your progress will save automatically at regular intervals, which is shown by a little flashing disc-like icon in the bottom right of the screen. Once that disappears once again, you’ll know that your game has saved and you’d be safe to quit.
Alternatively, if you want to be even safer, there is a manual save feature in Rage 2. Simply pause the game by pressing Options (menu if you’re on Xbox One) and select the Save Game option.
This will create an individual file for you to load up should you want to some time in the future. Otherwise, it’s just the point from which the game will continue next time you play.
You can also prompt autosaves by doing things such as fast traveling between towns, completing objectives in missions, or engaging in activities out in the open world. Just keep and eye out for the icon and you’ll be safe.
