How to Use Your Scope in PUBG
PUBG is a ruthless game and one where you need to adapt to the situation quickly and effectively. In order to do so, you’ll need to learn the best way to use the equipment you’ve got, which includes one of the game’s most useful items; scopes. Some players have a hard time aiming down their scopes, but we’re here to amend that. Here is the best way to use your scope in PUBG.
The first thing you should know about PUBG is that there are two camera modes – first person, and third person. The most skilled players will use a mixture of both; third person is good when you’re walking around and need to get a peek around corners without actually showing yourself, and first person is good for when you finally need to make a kill.
In order to zoom in, you’ll want to hold the right mouse button. In third person, this will only move the camera closer to your character, which does help for close quarters combat, but isn’t useful at long range – that’s where first person comes in handy. The key you need to press to switch between these views is V, which will quickly become one of your most-pressed buttons in the game.
When you loot a scope and want to use it, you’ll almost always want to tap V as you aim in, because it enables you to actually put the scope to use, and snipe people from afar. Alternatively, you can quickly enter first person when you aim in by double-tapping and then holding the right mouse button and then, naturally, you want to hit the left mouse button to shoot.
There are currently four scopes in the game: 2x, 4x, 8x, and 15x. Every scope is useful and will enhance your killing ability, but it’s the 15x that really enables you to bring out your inner sniper.
