This past week, an event in Pokemon Sword & Shield was held in which the Electric-type mythical Pokemon Zeraora appeared in Max Raid Battles. Here’s everything you need to know about how to claim shiny Zeraora in Pokemon Sword & Shield.
Zeraora cannot be caught in the aformentioned raids, but if one million players defeated one, a special shiny Zeraora would be given out as a prize. One million Zeraora were in fact defeated, so the shiny will be given out beginning next week.
Pokemon Sword & Shield: How to Claim Shiny Zeraora
To claim your shiny Zeraora, you must have a copy of either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, and you must have the Pokemon Home app downloaded and synced with your game.
You do not need a Home paid subscription; the free version is enough to claim this prize.
The shiny Zeraora will be distributed beginning on June 29, and you have until July 7 to claim it.
Here’s the important part: in order to receive it, you must deposit at least one Pokemon in the Home app or move a Pokemon between Sword or Shield and Home between June 17 at 8:00 a.m. PDT and July 7 at 4:59 p.m. PDT.
Once you have moved a Pokemon between the games and the Home app during the distribution period, navigate to the Mystery Gifts menu on the mobile device version of Pokemon Home. You can get there by clicking the menu button at the bottom of the main screen.
Then, click the Gift Box button. If you did everything correctly, your Shiny Zeraora will be waiting for you to claim. It will be deposited into your Home app, so if you want it in your Switch game, you’ll need to transfer it over.
Again, this distribution ends on July 7, so you won’t want to wait if you want to add this mythical Pokemon to your collection.
