Pokemon Sun: How to Evolve Feebas into Milotic

How to Evolve Feebas – Pokemon Sun

Recommended Videos

If you’re looking to get a Milotic for your Pokemon Sun team, you’ll first have to get the much weaker and unappealing Feebas. This fish Pokemon can be fished up from the waters of Brooklet Hill, though it has an extremely low catch rate. This rate goes up a bit if you fish in special, bubbling spots, and we recommend running out and back into a zone to get the special spot to respawn.

Eventually, by this method, you’ll have yourself a Feebas, prime for evolving. In past Pokemon games, this needed to be done by raising the Pokemon’s Beauty stat and then leveling it once. There are no Pokemon contests in Sun and Moon, however, so Feebas will evolve through trade if it’s holding a Prism Scale.

To get a Prism Scale, you’ll need to head to the final island. Once on Poni Island, you can find one in the Exeggutor Island area. Prism Scales can also be fished up occasionally, though this can happen very rarely. Some players report finding them in fishing spots on Routes surrounding Tapu Village.

Once you’ve got a Feebas holding a Prism Scale, a trade will evolve it into Milotic. You can either trade with a friend (and hope they give your Milotic back) or set up a Feebas for Feebas trade online.

Now that you know how to evolve Feebas into Milotic, you can continue on your Alola adventure. Be sure to check out our Ultimate Guide to Pokemon Sun and Moon for more tips, tricks, and guides.
