Pokemon Sun Fossil Guide: Skull and Cover

Pokemon Sun Fossils – Skull and Cover

Recommended Videos

Pokemun Sun and Moon each have two fossils unique to their version. In Pokemon Sun, you’ll be able to get the Skull and Cover Fossils.

Where to Get a Skull Fossil and Cover Fossil

Once you reach Pokemon Sun’s second island, you’ll eventually make it to KoniKoni City. Find the town’s jewelry shop, and speak with the woman at the counter. She will have both the Skull and Cover fossils for sale, and you can buy each one for 7,000 Poke Dollars. You’ll be able to buy both of these items, so long as you have enough money.

What to Do With Your New Rock

As with past games, you’ll need to take your special item to a scientific center, where they’ll be able to transform it into a Pokemon. Over on Route 8 you’ll find the Fossil Center. Look for the man with an RV, and speak to him. He’s going to turn your piece of rock into and actual living thing.

Skull Fossil

The Skull Fossil turns into Cranidos, which evolves into Rampardos. Both are Rock types.

Cover Fossil

The Cover Fossil will yield Tirtouga, a Water/Rock type Pokemon that evolves into Carracosta, and even bigger armored turtle.
