Pokemon Sun and Moon: Where to Find Sandshrew

Sandshrew – Pokemon Sun and Moon

Recommended Videos

Sandshrew is one of the Pokemon who was lucky enough to get a brand-new Alolan form in Pokemon Sun and Moon so there’s no surprise that players want to get their hands on the what is now an Ice/Steel-type Pokemon. The first thing you’ll need to do is make sure that you have Pokemon Moon as this one is exclusive to that game, just like Vulpix is exclusive to Sun.

If you have Moon, head on over to Ula’ula Island and head to the south, just under where you complete the first trial (below the winding road). There is a snow-capped mountain in this area with trails leading up. You can encounter Sandshrew on these trails where you’ll battle it and have a chance to catch it. Ula’ula Island is the third island you’ll travel to (not counting Aether), and you’ll have to beat a couple of the trials before you can hit this area, so you unfortunately can’t rush over there immediately and grab one. Chances are that you may be pretty powerful by the time you reach this area, so be careful and make sure not to make it faint in one hit (the struggles of a powerful trainer).

That’s all there is to it. If you need help with any other part of Pokemon Sun and Moon, check out our constantly expanding wiki.
