Pokemon Masters is finally out and it came out an entire day early much to everyone’s surprise. If you’re just jumping in, there’s a lot of information that’s going to be thrown at you when you start. Fear not, though, because we’ve got you covered. Here are Sync Pairs explained for Pokemon Masters.
Sync Pairs Explained in Pokemon Masters
If you’ve ever played a Pokemon game, you know that the entire series hinges on the relationships between you and your Pokemon. Those relationships matter just as much in Sync Pairs. Let’s talk about what these are and why they matter.
At their core, a Sync Pair is a partnership between a trainer a Pokemon such as Ash and Pikachu, Misty and Starmie and Brock and Onix. The purpose of them is to help you perform super effective moves in battle. You can also use Synergy to increase your effectiveness.
Now, not just any Pokemon and trainer can become a Sync Pair that is able to use super effective moves. If Brock had a water-type Pokemon, that would not be a Sync Pair as Brock is a rock-type trainer. Instead, you would want Brock to use Rock-type Pokemon.
Each can specialize in one of three battle roles: tech, strike and support. You can use your support role pairs to buff an attacker’s (strike role) strength and move power.
These team-ups can specialize in one or two move types and each Pokemon in that combo can learn up to four moves as is usual for the series.
Here’s a breakdown of what Sync Pairs are
- They’re synergistic relationships between trainers and Pokemon.
If a trainer and Pokemon have created a Sync Pair, super-effective moves can be performed.
That’s all you need to know about Sync Pairs in Pokemon Masters.
