How to Ride Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go
While Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are remakes of Pokemon Yellow, the game has seen a fair few big changes. While the removal of random battle encounters is the main one, you can no longer get a bike in the game, with you being able to ride Pokemon instead. Here’s everything you need to know about how to ride Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go.
The first thing you need to do is find yourself a Pokemon that you can ride. The first ones you come across are Onix, which is found in Mt. Moon, Persian, and Arcanine. However, you can also ride the likes of Snorlax, Charizard, and Lapras later in the game.
Once you have a rideable ‘mon, you need to add them to your active party. Then, you can choose the option to let them out of their Poke Ball by selecting them and using the drop down menu. They will just run alongside you in the game’s world if they’re any old Pokemon, but rideable ones will pick you up immediately after they’re let out of their balls.
This does mean that there is no longer a need for a bike in Pokemon Let’s Go. The bike shop is still in Cerulean, but you are not given a token to get one, since you don’t need to. If anything, the likes of Charizard are significantly faster than a bike would ever be.
The full list of rideable Pokemon in the game is:
