How to Get Merit Points

Merit Points can be obtained by returning satchels to other real-life trainers who lost them. These satchels are found throughout the Hisui region, and once returned to the trainer, you are awarded Merit Points.

Satchels can be found on the Hisui overworld map. It is helpful to use a marker to pin where the satchel was dropped so you can head directly for it. Simply press A while standing in front of the lost satchel to pick it up and return it to the owner.

This won’t automatically award you with Merit Points, though. You’ll need to go into your wireless communication menu, select “Lost & Found,” and select the satchel you returned to claim your reward. Most lost satchels award between 50-100 points.
