Pokemon GO has been out for a week now, and trainers have been catching all different types of our favorite Pocket Monsters. When you first boot up the game, you will be asked to choose a starter Pokemon between Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. If you didn’t choose Charmander, no worries, you will still be able to find one in the wild.
There have been reports that Charmander is fairly easy to find and shouldn’t be too hard catch. Fire-type Pokemon don’t seem to prefer certain locations like Grass or Water-types are prone to. Often, they can be found in cities, towns, rurual areas, and parks. We happened to find a few in New York City just outside of a local park and near a gas station. It’s also possible to get a Charmander by hatching them from any kilometer egg.
Let us know if you were lucky enough to catch a Charmander in your area. For any more tips, tricks and everything in between make sure to check out our Ultimate Pokemon GO Guide.
