Pokemon GO: What Pokestop Modules are and How to Get Them

The most social module you'll ever find.

Pokestops in Pokemon GO are incredibly useful places for Pokemon Trainers. You can hit them up every day and pick up a fresh batch of mystery items. However, they also have another use for yourself and other players, if you have a Pokestop module. Here’s what Pokestop modules are and how you can get them.

It’s easy enough to have not even noticed that modules are a thing in Pokemon GO. They aren’t thrown into your face all that much and you don’t really get told a lot about them by the game. Pokemon modules are essentially consumable items that you can attach to a Pokestop. These Lure modules are basically Incense but will attract Pokemon to the Pokestop for 30 minutes, rather than your location. The benefit of these is that Pokemon will not only be lured to that destination for yourself, but for other Pokemon trainers in the area, too.

In order to get your hands on one of these, unfortunately, you’re going to have to cough up the Pokecoins. This currency can be bought in the game for real-life money. You can buy one Lure module for 100 Pokecoins, or buy a set of eight for 680 Pokecoins.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, the fact that these modules have been named as Lure modules may suggest that different types of modules may come in a future update. But at this moment, nothing is confirmed.
