The fun and games available in Pokemon GO all starts off with catching the little creatures. Of course, if you don’t know how to catch them then you’re going to have a bit of a problem playing the game. Here’s how to catch Pokemon and be the greatest there ever was.
First off, you’ll want to make sure that you’re all stocked up on Pokeballs. Just like any Pokemon game, you require these spherical objects to catch Pokemon from the wild. You can pick these up from a Pokestop which are dotted around the world in real-life locations. For example, my nearest Pokestop is the chapel just around the corner from where I live. Head over to your local Pokestop and you’ll be able to stock up on Pokeballs and other useful items here.
Once you’re all stocked up with the necessary items, it’s time to find some Pokemon. Head out into the great outdoors and get searching for the little critters. Different types of Pokemon can be found in different places in Pokemon GO, so remember to keep that in mind if you’re on a mission to catch ’em all. Once you’ve found a Pokemon and they’ve appeared on your screen in the real-life environment thanks to augmented reality, it’s time to catch it.
All you have to do is simply put your finger on the Pokeball that is at the bottom of your screen and drag it toward the Pokemon you want to capture. Make sure to let go of the ball within the green circle on the Pokemon. Doing so will increase your chances of capturing the creature. Throw it too far away and you’ll fail a catch and waste your Pokeball. With a little bit of luck, your Pokeball will hold tight and keep the ‘mon safely inside. That’s another one to add to your Pokedex.
