Is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Coming to PS4?

Update: It has now been confirmed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is coming to PS4 on Dec. 7.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) may only be in early access on Steam but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of the most popular titles currently on the platform. Of course, with the battle royale-esque title rising in popularity a number of players are likely wondering if the game could come to the PS4.

Well, there’s some good news and bad news regarding a PUBG PS4 release. Talking with Inven, Bluehold Studio producer Changhan Kim confirmed that the game is in the works for both the Xbox One and PS4. Unfortunately, Kim didn’t provide a timeline as to when we can expect PUBG to make its way to either system, however, it will come to the Xbox One’s preview program first.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the title is unlikely to arrive on consoles before it’s upcoming, full release on PC in September. As such, it might not be until the very end of this year or the start of 2018 before PS4 owners can jump into the action.

As soon as the game’s got a confirmed release date for Sony’s system we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
