How to Get the Savior Achievement in A Plague Tale Innocence

Trapped in a Tunnel

By the time you reach Chapter 5, you’ll have had plenty of run-ins with guards, rats, and the Black Death. While you’ve built up a strategy for avoiding your enemies, not everyone is so lucky.

During one section of this chapter, you’ll come across a guard that is trapped in a tunnel. In order to progress, you need to get through this area.

The only problem is that while you are safe from the rats, thanks to your torch, the guard is not. If you push forward, the rats will go towards him and devour him.

To avoid subjecting this poor bystander to the grisly fate of being rat bait, you’ll need to look around your surroundings before walking too far. To be exact, you need to approach until you arrive at a torch holder.

Simply set the torch in the holder to start. Once you’ve placed the torch inside of it, walk towards the nearby pyre.

The pyre is within just the right range of the torch holder to be able to reach and light it without getting yourself or the guard killed. After you light the pyre, you can successfully advance with the peace of mind of knowing you saved the guard.

That is everything you need to know about how to get the savior achievement in A Plague Tale Innocence. For more information be sure to check back to our ever-expanding Plague Tale guides wiki or search for Twinfinite.
