For example, Red Pikmin are resistant to fire and are great at dealing damage to enemies, while Blue Pikmin can survive in and underwater.

To break glass in Pikmin 3, you’ll need to throw your Rock Pikmin. These chonky bois are heavier than all your other types, and their hard bodies can be used to smash all kinds of things (not just glass).

You won’t have access to Rock Pikmin right away, though. You’ll find these naturally as part of the story, specifically in the Garden of Hope stage.

During this level, you’ll find a miniboss named Medusal Slurker that has Rock Pikmin inside of it. All you need to do is defeat the boss and the Pikmin will join your amassing army of adorable creatures.
