How to Get Obsidian Pistol in Outward

Recommended Videos

Outward is full of strange items to find that have a bigger purpose than it initially seems. Many of them are used for crafting some of the game’s most powerful weapons. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Obsidian Pistol in Outward.

Crafting It in Outward

Just as the case is for the likes of the Brand weapon, you need to find particular items before you craft the Obsidian Pistol. Those items are:

  • Flintlock Pistol – It can sometimes be purchased from the Soroborean Caravaneer in Cierzo. It all depends on whether he has it in stock at the time, though. You can always wait a few in-game days for the stock to refresh.
  • Obsidian Shard – Can be looted from Burning Man or Obsidian Elemental enemies in Outward.
  • Palladium Scrap – This is an ore that can be obtained from Mining at Palladium Veins. They’re easy to spot since they are blue. If you explore the Enmerkar Forest, Hallowed Marsh, and Abrassar regions, you should come across some.
  • Crystal Powder – Crafted by combining four Mana Stones in an Alchemy Kit or can be obtained as random loot in Outward.

What the Obsidian Pistol Does

Once you’ve got all of those items, you can combine them to craft the Obsidian Pistol. The full description of the weapon reads, “Gun that needs the Fire/Reload skill to shoot a fiery bullet, inflicting Burning on enemies.”

When used alongside the Horror Bow in Outward, which has the Piercing Shot effect, the Obsidian Pistol is extremely useful, even against very powerful enemies. The burning caused by the pistol and the poison of the bow work really well together.
