Developer People Can Fly’s upcoming third-person looter-shooter, Outriders, is shaping up as one of the year’s most promising live-service games. With so many games of its genre opting not to go the premium route though, it’s no wonder we’ve noticed so many people asking: ‘is Outriders free to play?’ Here’s what you need to know.
Is Outriders Free to Play? Answered
The answer is quite simply no, Outriders is not free to play. It is a premium game priced at $60, as most AAA titles typically are.
That being said, however, Outriders is available to play via Xbox Game Pass on consoles (Xbox One, Series X|S). So, for those with a subscription, you’ll get the game as part of the package and won’t have to purchase it separately.
If you don’t have a Game Pass subscription but do own one of the aforementioned platforms, then you may want to consider subscribing for a single month just to give Outriders a go. It’s a great way to essentially demo the full game for just $10.
If that isn’t an option for you, then there’s a silver lining: A free Outriders demo is available right now that lets you play through the first few hours of the game. It might be worth checking that out before committing to purchasing the title.
For now, that’s everything there is to know about whether Outriders is free to play. For more useful information and guides on the game, check out our wiki and keep it locked on Twinfinite as we prepare to publish a huge amount of content when Outriders goes live next week.
